Portrait of Author, Linda Ford Ayres

Linda Ford Ayres is the author of The Shape of Us, a memoir about her journey with her adopted son, and Monster & The Daughter who Loved Her: a true story (2025), written in alternating voices of her mother and herself, which earned five-star reviews. That book began as a staged reading, Crazy, Beauty, Truth, at The Laurie Beechman Theater in Manhattan, read by Liz Canavan and Lynn Cohen.

She is also the co-author of Godless Grace under her former name, Linda Ford Blaikie, L.C.S.W.

Her work has appeared in The East Hampton Star, and one of her case histories was included in a respected international journal of analytical psychology.

Now retired from her psychotherapy practice, she pursues her lifelong passion for storytelling, believing that sharing our stories can make life feel less lonely and more connected.
